Chase smith, Founder & CEO
Certified Emergency Medical Technician
When not at events…I’m usually hanging out with friends, eating clean, at Lifetime, working on growing the business, or studying. I’m a first-year business student at the University of St. Thomas where I’m pursuing a degree in entrepreneurship.
I chose Smith EMS because…I worked with other event medical companies in the past. In my years of service with other organizations, I realized a growing complacency in the industry, allowing a great opportunity for a revolutionary solution, creating what we’ve built today.
My favorite part of the job is…watching and interacting with athletes at all levels of competition and having the ability to directly influence their performance on the ice, field, or court.

Certified Emergency Medical Responder
When not at events…I’m playing pickle ball with the boys, studying pastoral ministries at Northwestern St. Paul, or listening to Dr. Andrew Huberman’s latest podcast.
I chose Smith EMS because…I wanted to spend time watching sports and this seemed to be the best way to do it (while getting paid)!
My favorite part of the job is…meeting and working with athletes, tournament directors, and coaches. It’s always a blast to see what injuries will come my way.

When not at events…I’m training at the gym, or getting ready for the upcoming semester of college.
I chose Smith EMS because…I wanted a different job within the traditional EMS field. Working sports has shown me the variety of work that EMTs can do!
My favorite part of the job is…being the first one on scene to help athletes. Additionally, I enjoy taking part in injury prevention efforts, and ensuring overall player and spectator safety.

My favorite part of the job is…interacting with people and coaches an providing a level of comfort & ease to athletes we work with.

When not at events…I am usually either hanging out with friends or at college. Other than that I like backpacking, hiking, reading, painting and working out.
I chose Smith EMS because…I like that Smith EMS provides me the opportunity to go into different communities, meet the members, and help as much as I can.
My favorite part of the job is…getting to experience so many different games and events. I also enjoy interacting with the players and fan bases.

When not at events…I’m usually working out, hanging out with friends or family, and studying to obtain my paramedic from century college.
I chose Smith EMS because…I had been searching for flexible work within the EMS space to gain real experience and give back to the community.
My favorite part of the job is…Being able to provide care for all the players and enjoy the games.

When not at events…I’m working full-time as a psychologist at HealthPartners. I also volunteer as a Police Reserve Officer for the Minnetonka Police Department. I enjoy golfing, playing pickleball and taking our Great Dane, Wally, for long walks.
I chose Smith EMS because…of its excellent reputation and opportunities to gain sports EMT experience.
My favorite part of the job is…being able to watch sports!

When not at events…I’m working as a firefighter at the Minnetonka Fire Department, fishing, or hanging with friends.
I chose Smith EMS because…I wanted to work in a unique niche within the EMS world, not to mention the flexible hours.
My favorite part of the job is…being able to apply my knowledge and training to make someone else’s day better.

When not at events…I’m spending time with friends and family, attending a concert, enjoying a sporting event, or traveling.
I chose Smith EMS because…I like the concept of being able to watch sporting events while helping athletes compete.
My favorite part of the job is…providing peace of mind to every event I work as well as interacting with teams and coaches at each game.

When not at events…I’m on my motorcycle, outdoors, or golfing. I also run a painting and contracting business.
I chose Smith EMS because…I wanted to support Chase (the founder) in his entrepreneurial ventures. I just happened to be certified and it worked out well!
My favorite part of the job is…the unknown. I enjoy to never know what’s coming up next. Injuries can’t be predicted, it’s fun to think up scenarios and solve them in my head.

My favorite part of the job is…being social and having the opportunity to meet new people.

When not at events…I’m usually studying for college, as I work towards med school, or playing hacky-sack with my friends.
I chose Smith EMS because…I was drawn to the company’s promotion of a culture of service in addition to the competitive nature of compensation.
My favorite part of the job is…connecting with coaches, event coordinators, and players to assure that athletes get to play their best while minimizing lasting injuries.

When not at events…I can be seen playing electric guitar, hanging out with friends, or in class/studying as I’m a pre-med major at the University of MN!
I chose Smith EMS because…have an interest in sports medicine. Throughout my life I have played and enjoyed many different sports, meanwhile in the classroom I grew a connection with medicine. My love for these two interests has driven me to my journey of discovering sports medicine, which has led to me taking whatever steps I can, such as becoming an EMT, to pursue this dream. I felt that Smith EMS was the perfect opportunity for me to get experience in the exact field I want to be involved in!
My favorite part of the job is…being able to put into practice my learned skills! Having the opportunity to be that person that can be there to help and support another during a time of need is an amazing feeling. I love that I have the tools and skills to help others and am working closely to the field I want to work in someday.

When not at events…I'm usually studying for my firefighter degrees, going on long walks while listening to music or podcasts, or messing around with my friends.
I chose Smith EMS because…I've worked at other event EMS jobs, and I've found that being around the action and helping those in need has made me more passionate about the EMS field and has improved my ability to provide care.
My favorite part of the job is…getting to watch sports, have flexible hours that fit around my college studies, treat patients, and hopefully help them get back into the game.

I chose Smith EMS because…I want to help support and better players’ futures while giving out good insight on player health & development. I love the sports scene as well!
My favorite part of the job is…helping athletes improve 1% every day.

My favorite part of the job is…getting to know the community! It’s also fun to watch the games and help by providing care that may be needed.

Andrew, Marketing Intern

Andrew graduated from Saint Cloud State University with a degree in Creative Media Production. He works as a freelance video producer, continuously expanding his creative range through new projects and ideas.
When not editing or shooting content, Andrew enjoys staying active by working out, playing basketball, and being the Captain of a co-op kickball team during the spring and summer months. In the evening, Andrew enjoys watching movies and always looks to them for inspiration.
